14clubs.com is a revolutionary new golf equipment site that allows the customer to create and buy fully customised golf clubs. Horisk developed this ecommerce site from an initial concept through to launch working closely with the client and the client's design agency.

The site makes extensive use of Ajax and Coldfusion MX to provide the customer with a seamless customisation process. Horisk have also built a management application using Filemaker Pro to manage the site content and process and dispatch customer orders.

RoomOnline - Online Management for Student Accommodation

RoomOnline has now gone live for student applications at The Robert Gordon University. The online booking and allocation system allows prospective and current students to apply for accommodation online, while an extensive backend administration system allows staff to track applications, allocate accommodation, make accomodation offers and report on the process. Students can accept their lease terms and pay their deposit online. The system interfaces with SITS:Vision Student Information System to retrieve student details and track the status of an applicant's course application, so that only students with the appropriate offer status are offered accommodation.

The Robert Gordon University Website

Horisk have implemented the enhancement and rebranding of the Robert Gordon University website. Working from a graphic design concept, Horisk developed a series of CSS/XML templates for the site to ensure maximum accessibility, and then applied them to the entire site. The new site launched on time in December 2005.

Transvercia

Horisk have recently launched a new site for Transvercia Chauffeur Drive. The new site has been designed to evoke the quality and luxury of the Transvercia brand. As well as building the site from a design concept by ABP Creative Design, Horisk have provided Transvercia with essential advice on e-commerce, search engine optimisation and keyword marketing using Google Adwords.

Filemaker Solutions Alliance Associate

The Filemaker Solutions Alliance is for software professionals who use Filemaker to focus on providing custom solutions based on the requirements of individual customers. In May 2005 Horisk were awarded FSA Associate membership. To achieve this status, a Horisk Filemaker solution was assessed by Filemaker Inc for its interface, functionality and how well it met a business need. As well as Filemaker, Horisk use a number of other database technologies where appropriate, including MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer and Access.

We work on a number of different styles of project. These include e-commerce websites, workflow management web applications and complex database projects to manage publishing and marketing tasks.
