Transvercia.com Client: Transvercia Chauffeur Drive |
Transvercia Chauffeur Drive provide luxury chauffeur driven cars for executive travel, airport transfers and tours. Due to the nature of the business, Transvercia's website needed a strong design-led online presence, married with up-to-date technology. ABP Creative Design developed the design concept, and Horisk built the site purely in CSS, maintaining a consistent look and feel across all major browsers while retaining great search engine visibility and end-user accessibility. The resulting site evokes the quality of the brand, and incorporates online booking and payment. |

RecruitOnline Client: The Robert Gordon University |
Following the success of ApplyOnline and ReviewOnline (see below), we were commissioned to develop similar sites to deal with job applications and the recruitment process at The Robert Gordon University. Jobs@RGU lists all current job vacancies at the University. Applicants can create applications for jobs, store partially completed forms, and view completed forms as a PDF. RecruitOnline is a workflow system which allows authorised staff in each department to create job vacancies. These pass through an approval process before appearing on the Jobs@RGU site. Once applications are received, they can be shortlisted online against previously entered criteria, interviews arranged and if appropriate candidates can be selected. The few applications which still arrive on paper are scanned and also pass through the system. All communication with candidates who apply online is by email - paper correspondence is generated for those who applied on paper. |

ApplyOnline/ReviewOnline Client:The Robert Gordon University |
| The ApplyOnline site was developed while
working on a contract basis for The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.
The site enables direct applicants to the University to apply for courses online, and is intended to make the current paper application form obsolete. Applicants can store partially completed forms, and view completed forms as a PDF. Data is error-checked and collected in a format to ease its insertion into the University's existing Student Information System. Subsequently we were invited to develop ReviewOnline for the University. This is a workflow system designed to improve the process of evaluating application forms within the University. ApplyOnline and ReviewOnline formed the major part of a Business Process Re-engineering project which was a runner-up in the Guardian sponsored AUA Awards for Excellence 2004 and was Highly Commended in the Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA) Award for Excellence 2004. |

Hobsons Bookshop Client: Hobsons |
Hobsons is a major UK publisher, specialising in careers advice and reference books for students and careers professionals. Most of their publications are distributed free to students through Careers Service offices, but this site was built to allow careers professionals to order paid-for publications online. The site is essentially a browsable product catalogue, with a custom-built shopping basket application. All the product information comes from an online database. A comprehensive Remote Management System (RMS) was added to allow non-technical staff at Hobsons to edit product specs, pricing, etc. The site stores address details for registered customers so that they do not need to re-enter information every time they order. As most orders are from schools who pay by invoice, there was no need to deal with online payments. The design of the site follows the paper catalogue and Hobsons branding guidelines. |

Hobsons Student Service has over 100,000 registered members, mostly students in higher education or recent graduates. At login, the site retrieved their details from the membership database, and then showed them editorial tailored to their interests. Editorial staff could add and edit content using a sophisticated RMS, flagging the categories of users who should see each article. |
